Radio - A - Thon
Thursday - Saturday, September 16th - 18th
Start saving those pennies!!! On September 16th, 17th, and 18th you can drop them off at your local McDonald's Restaurant and help us obtain our goal of collecting a million pennies... plus you'll be helping the Star 105.5 "morning crew"! They'll be doing a "roof sit" at the McDonald's at 3138 Secor Rd., until the money is raised. Of course, the ultimate reason to make a donation is to help the hundreds of families that stay at the Toledo Ronald McDonald House each year. The money raised during this drive will stay right here, helping the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio help families wtih an ailing child in the hospital.
2010 ocTABer fest!
Saturday, October 9, 2010 - 10:00am to 2:00pm
Plans are now underway for this years ocTABer fest. The name says it all!.... it's an awesome festival held in October, with our pull tab collection taking center stage. You'll also be able to view some beautiful vehicles, everything from antiques to rods, classics to sports cars. You'll even be able to cast your vote for the best car there! So start saving those pull tabs now, bring them to the festival, and drop them in the giant collection bin... let's fill it to the top this year!
Second Annual Heart Warming Party
Friday, November 12th, 2010 - 7:00pm
Last years inaugural Heart Warming Party was such a success!... but we're already making plans for this years party to be even better! Great live entertainment, delicious food, and thousands of dollars in prizes to win. Just think, if you were the winner of the plane tickets we gave away last year, you could be in sunny Florida right now! Mark your calendar now for one of the most spectacular events of the year!

2010 FORE! The House Golf Outing

What a great day for the 2010 FORE! The House Golf Outing, presented by M&M Toledo / Equity! We were so pleased with the support and sponsorship we received this year. So many companies came through for us in a big way. First, we had a great Title Sponsor in M&M Toledo / Equity. Our Gold Sponsors were The Coca-Cola Company, Dr. Pepper/Snapple Group, and New Horizons Bakery, and the Bronze Sponsors were McDonald's Restaurants (Findlay) and JCILH, Inc. Thanks to the participants, donations, and sponsors, we raised over $35,000 in net proceeds to help the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio carry out it's mission. So many families will be touched by the funds raised at this event, as we we're touched by the generosity of the first, second, and third place winners when they generously gave their winnings back to RMHC of NWO. As always, The Legacy was a superb host for this fun event, and they provided a delicious dinner to top it off. Mark your calendars now for next year's FORE! The House Golf Outing on Monday, August 8th.
RMHC of NWO at this years Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic (JFOCC) presented by Kroger!
The golfing was spectacular, the weather was sunny, and as usual Hole #10 was superbly marshalled at this years Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio provides many volunteers for manning Hole #10, and we couldn't have had better "seats" to see some awesome shots. Volunteering at this event is always great fun, and if you didn't join us this year, please consider doing so at future JFOCC's. We also received money from people who purchased their tickets through the Charity Ticket Program - a special thanks to those of you who selected us as your charity of choice! Every year we receive a donation from the tournament, starting in 1984 when the Toledo McDonald's franchises underwrote the operating expenses with the agreement that a portion of the money raised would benefit the local Ronald McDonald House.
RMHC OF NWO IS A 2010 FINALIST FOR THE BBB TORCH AWARD!
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio was a "2010 Finalist, Better Business Bureau Torch Award". The BBB Torch Award recognizes businesses and organizations whose self-regulated operating practices and related activities exemplify the BBB's mission of promoting the highest standards of business ethics and conduct.
Lots of Fun at the Volunteer Brunch at the Inverness Club!
It was a great celebration of our volunteers! What better way to show our appreciation to our volunteers, than to treat them to a brunch at the Inverness Club. The chefs prepared a great spread that included strata, fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, baked goods, hash browns, etc.... not to mention the "to order" omelettes and waffles. The program was light and provided insight into the future plans of RMHC of NWO. Some of our bigger milestones honored included - Judy Glaza for 25 years, Luella Goldstein for 20 years, and both Janet Roberts and Jackie Bennett for 15 years. A big thank you to XLR8 Youth Ministries of Bowling Green, Ohio for the music they provided. Become a volunteer now, and you can be part of the celebration in 2011!
