Tina's Story
September 15, 2011 was a day that changed my life forever. My identical twin boys were born at a grueling 29 weeks and four days gestation. This was my biggest fear for twin B. Warren had a serious condition called CDH. CDH is when the diaphragm does not close, allowing his stomach organs to get into his chest cavity. The doctors said if I had them before 30 weeks he would not make it. Warren passed away 1 hour after birth. His twin Wesley, however, was doing very well for being so premature. Wesley needed to stay in the hospital for 70 days. During that time, my 4 year old son Owen and I were able to stay at the Ronald McDonald House saving us thousands in food, gas, and hotel stays. The Ronald McDonald House did not only give me food to eat and a place to lay my head, but their wonderful staff gave me a shoulder to lean on and an ear to listen to me. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality!
Sincerely, Tina
(Wesley and angel Warren’s mommy)
